We made a visit to the native holy site of Devils Tower to learn a bit about the Native American perspective on creation, and due to some rain, visited Mt. Rushmore, the self-proclaimed "Shrine of Democracy" the next day in lieu of climbing the tower.

At the nation's first national park, we focused on the emotion-charged issue of bison herd management, speaking on the issue with ranchers, researchers, and activists.
