Southwest students and staff camped at the Dundo Group Campground in the Shenandoah National Park of Virginia, April 28-29, to practice setting up tents and making food together.  After tents were hoisted and the taco salad devoured, the group hiked to the Doyles River falls.  Mr. Blosser gave us instructions on how to operate as a group, working together instead of independently.  After a camp-fire devotional and a chilly night in the tents, the group ate a great breakfast before hiking to Blackrock on the Trayfoot Mountain.  Park ranger Shawn Green spoke to us about National Parks, the "no trace" concept, and gave us details about how the Shenandoah Park operates.  In spite of the drizzle and rain, the group worked together well and is now ready to head to the warmer Southwest in June.
