Moulton, Gary. The Definitive Journals Of Lewis And Clark. Lincoln, Nebraska: University of Nebraska, 2002.

This complete set incorporates the journals along with scholarship dealing with geography, Indian languages, plants, and animals. See The Journals of Lewis & Clark Expedition

Schmidt, Thomas. National Geographic Guide to the Lewis & Clark Trail. National Geographic Society, 2002.  This a very good, up-to-date book that gives a brief overview of the the places we will visit.

O'Dell, Scott. Streams to the River, River to the Sea. Boston: Houghton Mifflin, 1986.

"A novel of Sacagawea."

Lewis and Clark National Historical Trail (National Park Service)

The official site of the designated historical trail, covering 11 states. These pages include historical information, a travel guide, and other practical advice.

National Council of the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial

The council commissioned to coordinate the 200th anniversary publishes this site, which includes information regarding news, events, and cultural and political documents.

Jefferson's West: Thomas Jefferson and the Lewis and Clark Expedition

This highly educational site, published by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation, highlights the involvement of Jefferson in the Corps of Discovery's exploration.
