American Southwest visited the Navajo Nation Council Chambers on Wednesday, June 15, 2005, in Window Rock, Arizona.   We toured the facility and listened to Harold Morgan speak about Navajo history, religion and culture.  Then the Navajo Presidential Youth Assistant, Alray Nelson, took us into the President's office for a further introduction to Navajo history and political life today.  At the Navajo Nation Inn we ate Navajo Tacos for lunch--very good!  Finally, we spent time in the Navajo Museum and then looked for souvenirs at a local flea market.  Several sponsors heard traditional bluegrass music from a local radio station at the open air market!
