A primary objective for American Southwest is to nurture Christian faith in the lives of students and staff.  This happens in regular evening or morning devotionals led by students and staff, vigorous theological debates in the coach or other settings, singing songs of faith together, morning prayers on the coach as we head out for another day, and analyzing issues of resources and relationships from a Christian perspective. See our full list of trip objectives.

Another back-of-the-bus Bible class/debate in full swing.  Topics range from politics to peace to predestination.  Four Bibles came out in this well-mannered debate that lasted well over an hour.  Students learn theology but also good principles of listening and hearing another point of view.
